- During a break from rehearsals in Toronto, Luke Mably (Eddie) and Ben Miller (Eddie’s valet, Soren) went out while in character to the Four Seasons and convinced everyone that Mably was the Prince of Denmark. They were demanding tea and cake and had six waiters around them, bowing.
- During the release of this movie, the real heir to the Danish throne, Kronprins Frederik, married his Australian fiancee Mary Donaldson, a commoner, later known as Kronprinsesse Mary.

And both couples go against traditions. Just like Paige, the real Kronprinsesse Mary didn’t know Kronprins Frederik was of royal blood when she met him for the first time.
- During her Shakespeare final Paige is asked about the play Othello. Julia Stiles starred in the 2001 adaption of Othello titled “O.”
